Spencer Bucknam Pro Driver Queen Creek, AZ

Spencer Bucknum is a third-generation racing driver following in his father’s (Jeff Bucknum) and grandfather’s (Ronnie Bucknum) footsteps. Spencer’s passion for racing developed naturally at a young age while watching his father compete in IndyCar and multiple top-level sports car series, as well as running his own team, Team Bucknum Racing.

Spencer began karting at the age of five but only competed for a couple of years due to the significant commitment required. At the age of 10, he transitioned to sim racing and continued until he was old enough to drive a real race car at 14. He spent several years honing his skills in a Mazda Miata and a Radical SR3 before ever competing in a race.

At 17, Spencer attended the Simraceway Racing School in a Formula 3 car. His extensive seat time had perfectly prepared him for the moment. He then returned to karting, finishing 3rd in the 2018 Simraceway Karting Championship. Shortly after, he transitioned to car racing and immediately found success, winning the 2020 Formula Pro USA F4 West Coast Championship and the 2023 TC America Championship in the TCA class. Most recently, Spencer competed in the 2024 Toyota GR Cup and the inaugural 2025 McLaren Trophy America series.

With experience in a wide variety of cars from an early age, Spencer began coaching at racing schools at 18. He has been a top instructor at several prestigious programs, including Simraceway at Sonoma Raceway, the Allen Berg Racing School at Laguna Seca, Skip Barber Racing School, and Radford Racing School.

Spencer also works in the stunt driving industry. His biggest role to date was as a stunt driver for the film Ferrari, where he doubled one of the lead actors. He also has extensive experience in commercial stunt driving, appearing in multiple commercials for various manufacturers.
