Track Rekord was founded in 2019 by professional driver Kai Goddard. Passionate, authentic, and resilient, Kai always has the need for speed running through his veins. With more than 30 years of experience in motorsports as a racing driver, coach, automotive testing, marketing and driving-events specialist, and precision stunt driver, he has become a respected force in the industry.

After years of instructing at top racing schools and HPDE events, Kai identified a clear gap: many programs lacked true personalization and depth. Conversations with track-day insurance experts at Hagerty and OpenTrack confirmed that a significant number of incidents stemmed from inadequate driver development and coaching by instructors who had not made racing and professional-level coaching their full-time commitment. This realization led him to create Track Rekord - a truly custom approach built around each driver’s experience, car, goals, and schedule.

Steve Kimpton, an accomplished driver, coach, and business consultant with over 30 years of experience, soon joined as a partner. Steve brings deep mechanical engineering knowledge, his own racing career, expertise in data analysis tools, and an unwavering passion for motorsports. Together, their shared vision has helped grow Track Rekord and deliver the high-quality, individualized coaching they felt was missing from the industry.

At our core, we offer individually tailored track-day coaching for drivers of all levels. Over the past five-plus years, we have also supported competitive racers and athletes from club and vintage racing all the way up through IMSA, SRO, Radical Cup, Porsche Sprint Challenge, and more. This segment of our business is growing strongly. We are proud to work with a highly vetted national team of talented, race-winning drivers and top-level coaches located across the country who fully align with our philosophy.

In addition, we provide expert consulting, race series management and directorship, and precision stunt driving services. We also partner with outstanding organizations to support great charities while occasionally working with first responders and U.S. Military Special Forces, training them to extremely high-level driving tactics and standards.

Even as modern cars become safer, HPDE track-day incidents continue to rise due to insufficient driver development. Track Rekord exists to change that - making professional, experienced coaching accessible anywhere, anytime across the US and Canada.
