Over the course of seven years, Danish-American driver Benjamin Pedersen has made 160 race starts, capturing 15 wins, 45 podiums and nine poles. The dedicated 23-year-old will make his first start in the NTT INDYCAR SERIES during the 2023 season with AJ Foyt Racing.

Benjamin’s professional racing career began in 2016, competing in the F4 United States Championship powered by Honda, earning eight Top 10s in 15 races. The following year Benjamin found great success in the F4 United States Championship during the 2017 season, finishing fourth overall by claiming three wins – a sweep of all three races at Circuit of the Americas together with FIA WEC along with two additional podiums, and two poles. Benjamin also won the F1 support race at the Circuit of Americas that year.

In 2018, Benjamin finished his run in the F4 United States Championship, picking up two wins, two podiums, and two poles to finish fifth in the championship. He moved up to compete in the F3 Americas Championship that same year, claiming 10 podiums to finish a respected third overall.

Benjamin’s breakthrough year came in 2019 as he continued his run in the F3 Americas Championship and embarked on his first international run in the BRDC British Formula 3 Championship. He finished runner up in the F3 Americas Championship with seven wins, two podiums, and four poles. Benjamin claimed his first international win at Silverstone along with one podium at Snetterton while running in the BRDC British Formula 3 Championship.

In 2020 Benjamin joined Global Racing Group for the three rounds of the Formula Regional Americas Championship powered by Honda, earning two Top 5s. He continued his run in the BRDC British Formula 3 Championship, picking up the win at Silverstone and two more podiums.

Benjamin recently spent the past two seasons running in the INDY NXT Series (formerly Indy Lights), the final step before joining the NTT INDYCAR SERIES. He recorded six podiums and finished his rookie season fourth in the championship during the 2021 year. Benjamin returned to the INDY NXT Series for one more season, claiming four podiums before picking up his first win at his home track at Portland International Raceway.
During the fall of 2022, Benjamin reached his goal of competing in the NTT INDYCAR SERIES when AJ Foyt Racing signed the 23-year-old to run the #55 entry full-time for the 2023 season and beyond.
