In the electrifying world of motorsport, where speed meets precision and passion drives ambition, Alex Waters has carved a legendary path over 26 years. From grassroots karting to the Formula One circus, his story is one of relentless dedication and a fierce commitment to shaping racing’s future stars.

From his early on-track competitions, Alex raced against some of the best young global talent around, including GT racing legend Nick Tandy and F1 superstars like Daniel Ricciardo and Sergio Perez. Alex’s story isn’t an ordinary one. As a teenager, he was diagnosed with cancer. Along his journey, he became an ambassador for a children’s cancer charity (CLIC Sargent) and, through his commitment to fundraising and speaking at prestigious events like the Grand Prix Ball and the British Christmas Ball, he rallied immense support for hundreds of young children suffering from cancer, raising just shy of $1 million by the age of 18.

Alex’s love for racing sparked at a young age, fuelled by a family passion for motorsport and growing up watching his father race rally cars across the UK. That thrill, paired with a fascination for the mechanics behind the speed, launched a career that would span continents. Recognised by the elite Red Bull F1 Junior Team and selected for management by the late Eddie Jordan, he honed his skills alongside top engineers, transforming from a talented driver into a motorsport sage. While funding ultimately stifled Alex’s personal racing career—like so many others—his passion and love for the sport still shine through.

Since 2004, Alex has been coaching, channeling his expertise into mentoring aspiring racers. With credentials from Silverstone, the home of British motorsport, and years on its team, he has since coached drivers at most of the world’s iconic tracks—everyone from those in his young driver development programmes to gentleman amateurs and celebrities, including the cast of Fast and Furious 5. “It’s about unlocking their potential, finding their ‘feel’ and focusing their mind. You cannot teach feel, but I show them how to find it,” he says, blending technical mastery with mental grit.

In 2023, Alex was still claiming podiums, winning at Sebring, Road America and VIR in GT4 machinery alongside his clients, proving his competitive fire still burns brightly. His versatility is clear, racing and coaching across prototypes and GTs, while past triumphs—like European F3 podiums and various endurance racing wins—highlight his adaptability.

Beyond the track, Alex’s charisma shines. As a Red Bull F1 partner manager, he bridges racing with sponsors and VIPs. As an F1 Expert Host, he electrifies audiences at venues like the Royal Albert Hall and at F1 races around the world. His entrepreneurial edge drives innovations—corporate training, simulators, fitness coaching—while at Miami’s Concours Club, he refined the skills of ultra-wealthy drivers. Alongside his coaching, Alex is working on his biggest venture yet: starting a private members’ auto and outdoor adventure club in Bozeman, Montana.

Alex Waters embodies motorsport’s essence: a racer, mentor and visionary. With speed in his veins and excellence as his creed, he’s not just part of the game—he’s redefining it.
